
Mixed Root Vegetable Purée
• 1 medium sweet potato or yam (approximately 180g)
• 1 large parsnip or carrot (approximately 120g)
• 60ml (4tbsp) of baby’s usual milk*
*This can be expressed breast milk or your baby’s usual formula made up according to the instructions on pack.
Utensils• Saucepan
• Handheld blender or food processor
Instructions
1. Wash, peel and dice the sweet potato or yam, carrot or parsnip.
2. In a pan of boiling water, cook the chosen vegetables for about 10-15 minutes or until soft. Drain.
3. Blend together the vegetables with the milk using a handheld blender or food processor. Do not add any salt.
4. Serve warm.
