Mixed Vegetable with Rice and Milk Recipe

Ingredients

• 50g broccoli 
• 50g courgette 
• 3-4 mint leaves 
• 50g CERELAC® Mixed Vegetable and Rice with Milk

Utensils

• Saucepan
• Handheld blender or food processor

Instructions

1. Wash and chop the broccoli into florets and wash and slice the courgette. Wash the mint leaves.
 
2. Place all of the vegetables and mint in a small saucepan with enough water to cover. Heat gently, bringing to the boil. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
 
3. Puree the vegetables, mint and remaining cooking liquid together using a handheld blender or food processor.
 
4. Prepare CERELAC® Mixed Vegetable and Rice with Milk carefully following the ‘make up’ instructions on the pack.
 
5. Stir in 15ml (1 tbsp) of the puréed vegetables mixture.
 
6. Cool any leftover vegetable purée and transfer to ice cube trays, and freeze to provide convenient portions for future use.

Tip

If you do not have a blender or food processor you can use a masher (although this may result in a chunkier purée).

Mint is a great new taste to include in weaning purée recipes, as it adds flavour and introduces your little one to a common food ingredient.
